Abstract:

The Chilean government has requested the extradition of Ray E. Davis, a former U.S. military officer, for involvement in the disappearance and murder of two Americans during the coup that brought the dictator General Pinochet to power in 1973. Former U.S. Navy Capt. Ray E. Davis was charged in the deaths of journalist Charles Horman and student Frank Teruggi.[1] The court statement said Chilean army Brigadier Pedro Espinoza Bravo was also charged in the murders.[2] The Chilean Supreme Court has the last word in the case and it must soon decide if it approves the extradition request.
