Abstract:
On June 17, 2011, Kevin L. Shepherd, Esq., Chair of the ABA Task Force on Gatekeeper Regulation and the Profession, on behalf of the American Bar Association, sent a letter to John Carlson, principal Administrator, Financial Action Task F Secretariat, to express concerns regarding the manner in which work is occurring on the Consultation Paper – the review of the standards and preparation of the 4th Round of Mutual Evaluations (“Consultation Paper”) and urges the FATF to continue to reach out and engage in active dialogue with all stakeholders, including the ABA and other representatives of the legal community.
