Abstract: 
On April 17, 2002 the media reported that Brazilian national police arrested Muhamad Ibrahim Soliman, an Egyptian charged for terrorist conduct by his own government. The media report alleged that Soliman had fled to Foz do Iguacu, a trading and contraband place on the border with Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. The is a large Arab population on the frontier which had traditionally facilitated shelter to Islamic militants and provided financing for Hezbollah.
