"On July 29, 2008, Josephine Mukazitoni, the spouse of alleged genocide fugitive Felicien Kabuga, asked Kenya?s High Court to overturn an order freezing the couple?s local assets.. Ms. Mukazitoni, who resides in Belgium, pled with the Court that the Kenyan government did not have the right to act on behalf of the International Criminal Tribunal in Rwanda. In May 2008, Kenyan Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko requested the High Court to freeze all property of Kabuga, accusing him of employing his assets to avoid capture, help other fugitives, and ?substantially interfere? with ICTR witnesses...[more]"
