On August 6, 2007, a magistrate in Trinidad and Tobago ordered three men - Abdul Kair, 55, Kareem Ibrahim, 62, and Abdel Nur, 57 - extradited to the U.S. on charges that they conspired with a former airport cargo worker to sabotage jet fuel storage tanks and fuel lines at the Kennedy International Airport. At the hearing the U.S. depended primarily a written summary of evidence compiled by U.S. authorities, as is customary in extradition proceedings.
