Abstract:
On October 8, 2003, the Supreme Federal Court ordered Spanish national Miguel Angel Perra Aparicio extradited to Spain for the crime of ?robbery with force.? Mr. Perra Aparicio had been detained in Brazil since May 2003 and charged with international trafficking of women. Brazilian authorities approved the extradition. The case illustrates a potential double-criminality issue, since the new crime of trafficking of women has not been incorporated into their laws.
