Abstract:
On April 5, 2007, Canadian Federal Court Justice Yves de Montigny granted an alleged Chinese smuggling kingpin facing deportation another opportunity to contest his removal order, ruling that the Canadian government did not adequately assess the risk that he would be tortured or executed if returned to the PRC.
