Abstract:
On January 12, 1993, the Constitutional Court of Costa Rica invalidated Costa Rica’s 1982 Extradition Treaty with the United States. The invalidation occurred when the Court accepted a habeas corpus appeal from a United States citizen. In Resolution No. 123, the Court ruled not to apply the Extradition Treaty to the case.
