Abstract: 
On August 3 and 9, 1999, the International Tribunal for War Crimes in the Former Yugoslavia gained custody of two more suspects as the Tribunal also prepared for a new prosecutor. Meanwhile, on August 11, 1999, the U.N. Security Council appointed a new prosecutor for the Tribunal.
