On January 24, 2000, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected an appeal from fugitive Elizaphan Ntakirutimana and moved the case to a final appeal to the U.S. Department of State Mr. Ntakirutimana, 78, is a former president of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rwanda who allegedly led a Hutu mob in slaughtering hundreds of Tutsi civilians.
