Abstract: 
On August 21, 2001, the U.S. Department of Treasury informed the Antigua and Barbuda Government by letter that the U.S. has removed the financial advisory against Antigua. According to Sir Ronald Sanders, who praised his Prime Minister’s “vision and courage” for leading his Government’s resolve in ensuring the Antiguan anti-money laundering regime meets the highest international standards, explained the announcement was a triple achievement. The Financial Action Task Force recognized Antigua and Barbuda as a fully cooperative jurisdiction against money laundering. On July 16, 2001, the United Kingdom Government lifted its financial advisory.
