Abstract:
On June 14-15, 2007, the states of Arizona and Sonora and U.S. and Mexican border enforcement officials met near Tucson, Arizona to discuss strengthening border enforcement cooperation following violent firefights among rival drug cartels and the police in the small Sonoran mining town of Cananea, about 95 miles south of Tucson.
