Abstract:
On April 6, 2000, the U.S. House Judiciary Committee passed by a 21-8 vote the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act, a bill that would simultaneously prohibit Internet gambling generally while expanding certain types of Internet gambling.
The bill criminalizes taking bets online.
