Abstract: 

On March 13, 2014, Loretta E. Lynch, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York and George Venizelos, Assistant Director-in-Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), New York Field Office, announced that the U.S. has obtained custody of and arraigned 43-year-old Alhassane Ould Mohamed, also known as “Cheibani,” a Malian citizen charged with the murder and attempted murder of U.S. Embassy personnel stationed in Niamey, Niger, in December 2000.[1]
