Abstract:
On December 19, 2006, the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 1730, which attempts to ensure due process for adding and removing person and entities on UN sanctions lists.1 Res. 1730 adopts the de-listing procedure in a document annexed to the resolution, calling on the Secretary-General to establish a focal point to receive de-listing requests and perform the tasks described in the attached document.
