Treasury Promulgates Proposed Wire Transfer Regulations

On October 12, 1990, the U.S. Department of the Treasury promulgated controversial proposed regulations on enhanced recordkeeping requirements relating to wire transfers (i.e. all aspects of funds transfered by banks and to transmittals of funds by other financial institutions subject to the Bank Secrecy Act).
