Abstract:
On November 28, 2009, the U.S. Department of Treasury and the Federal Reserve Board announced that they have extended the compliance date for the final regulation implementing the applicable provisions of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA) six months. On December 3, 2009, the House Financial Services Committee held a hearing on various bills to legalize Internet gaming.
