Toronto Summit Calls for Enforcement Initiatives on Drugs and Terrorism

On June 20, 1988, the leaders of the seven leading industrialized democracies pledged to establish a ministerial-level task force and to take more action against countries that facilitate hijacking.  The task force on the international narcotics trade will be part of a broader effort to stop the production, trafficking and financing of illegal drugs.
