Abstract:
On September 23, 2008, prosecutors have brought an amended indictment against former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic, containing a more narrow scope of alleged criminal acts and reducing the areas where they were committed. The Court will ask Karadzic to enter a new plea to the amended indictment, which will delay the start of his trial. However, prosecutors have represented in their motion to file the amended indictment that the delay will be more than offset by the time savings resulting from a more focused and precise indictment....[more]
