Abstract:
On March 7, 2008, the presidents of Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela agreed to resolve their dispute over the Colombian bombing of a rebel camp in Ecuador on March 1, 2008, which killed 24 guerillas, including Luis Edgar Devia, a top commander. The crisis was resolved at a meeting of the 20-nation Rio group. A declaration was signed in which Colombian President Ãlvaro Uribe apologized for the raid and promised never to violate another country’s border.
