Abstract: 
 On July 22, 2013, Interpol issued a press release that Project Wisdom and Project Wendi, an Interpol-led operation supported by the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) targeting criminal organizations behind the illegal trafficking of ivory in West and Central Africa, has resulted in 66 arrests and the seizure of 4,000 ivory products and 50 elephant tusks, as well as military grade weapons and cash.[1]
