On May 5, 1987 a spirited debate ensued as the U.S. House of Representatitves Subcommittee on Financial Institutions Supervision, Regulation and Insurance of the Committee on Banking, Finance and Urban Affairs held an oversight hearing on Money Laundering following the passage of the Money Laundering Control Act.
