Abstract:
On June 28, 1985, the GAO released a report, entitled "Nazis and Axis Collaborators Were Used to Further U.S. Anti-Communist Objectives in Europe-Some Immigrated to the United States".  After World War II, 550,00 refugees and other displaced persons entered the U.S, under the Displaced Persons Act and Refugee Relief Act.  These acts and other postwar legislation prohibited immigration of war criminals and other persecutors.
