Abstract:
In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of September 2011, the U.S. government has developed a new set of mechanisms against the financial networks of terrorist groups, rogue regimes, proliferations, and criminal syndicates. The author is an attorney and former senior Treasury and National Security adviser. He was one of the handful of strategists. After proposing many of the new financial weapons, he persuaded the National Security Adviser, the President of the United States himself, and U.S. allies of the utility of such tools.
