European Data Protection Supervisor Releases Guidelines on Whistleblowing Procedures

On July 18, 2016, the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) has published his Guidelines on Whistleblowing Procedures. It is noteworthy that in March 2015, the European Ombudsman drafted internal whistleblowing rules for her Office, using the European Commission's “Guidelines on Whistleblowing” as a model. The Ombudsman then published the draft rules.
