Abstract:
On May 15, 2002 Belgian Law Enforcement authorities announced the arrest of Leonidas Rusatira on an arrest warrant issued by the United Nations tribunal in Rwanda for genocide and crimes against humanity charges. The arrest illustrates the assistance that countries around the world are obligated to provide the ad hoc war crimes tribunals under the Security Council resolutions and the states under which the tribunals operate.
