On July 30, 2004, the media reported that Belgian authorities had agreed recently to prosecute Ephrem Nkezabera, 52, a prominent banker and also a senior member of the Interahamwe militia, the youth wing affiliated with the former ruiling party, the MRND, for genocide and crimes against humanity.
