Abstract: 
On June 7, the governments of India and the United Arab Emirates announced the signing of a bilateral narcotics agreement in Abu Dhabi that provides for bilateral cooperation in combatting narcotics trafficking and related money laundering. Illicit narcotics trafficking has been a problem for both countries and particularly the United Arab Emirates. Media reports state that approximately 4,000 tons of drugs, half of the total amount seized from all the Gulf states in 1991 - - came from the Emirates.
